THOMAS E. "TIM" DAVIDSON, Senior Security Consultant
Tim Davidson has more than 30 years of experience in security management and crisis response for government and non-government organizations. Mr. Davidson began his career in the U.S. Air Force, holding senior special operations and counter-drug positions before retiring as a colonel. He also has experience in leading integrated government/corporate process teams, program development and asset vulnerability analysis. Mr. Davidson has a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master's degree from Florida State University.
JOHN F. THORNELL, Ph.D., Principal Consultant
John Thornell has over 30 years of project resource management, executive leadership and marketing experience. During his career in the Marine Corps., Dr. Thornell received numerous commendations and decorations including the award for Outstanding Marine Aviator in 1988. Since retiring as a colonel, Dr. Thornell has provided guidance to Fortune 1000 companies on the development and deployment of IT solutions, delivering a career project total in excess of $1 billion. Dr. Thornell has a bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford, master's degrees from the U.S. Naval War College and Salve Regina University and a doctorate from Columbus University.

Don Grim has more than 35 years of experience in quality assurance/food safety for the food and beverage manufacturing and lodging/hospitality industries. Prior to joining Seneca, Mr. Grim was vice president of quality assurance for Marriott International and Avendra, a procurement services company. He has also held senior executive positions with Delmonte Frozen Foods and Hanover brands. Mr. Grim has a bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and a master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University. He is also an active member of the Society for Microbiology, the American Public Health Association, the Institute for Food Technologists, and the National Environmental Health Association.
JEFF MULLIKEN, Senior Consultant
Jeff Mulliken has more than 30 years of experience in hospitality operations and program development for purchasing and distribution services. Prior to joining Seneca, Mr. Mulliken was Vice President of Purchasing for Hyatt Hotels. He also held senior positions with Avendra and Marriott International. Mr. Mulliken has extensive experience in restaurant operations, having managed multi-unit chains and held corporate staff positions during high periods of growth and expansion.
JEANETTE L. HANFLING, Crisis Management & Response Consultant
Jeanette Hanfling has 13 years of experience in strategic communications and corporate-level crisis management for the food and hospitality industries. Prior to joining Seneca, Ms. Hanfling directed crisis communications activities for Sodexho, a provider of food and facilities management services, where she served on the company’s crisis management team. She has also provided consulting services to numerous Washington, DC area hotels and restaurants. Ms. Hanfling has a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from Elon College.

ALAN D. PARKER, Director, North America
Alan Parker has more than 25 years of experience as a microbiologist, consultant, educator and business executive. He has special expertise in quantitative risk analysis and HACCP (hazard analysis critical control program) development, and is a certified food safety trainer and a processing authority recognized by both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agrigulture (USDA). His work on the validation of biocidal processes, both chemical and physical, has been one of the main focal points of his professional career. For many years, he owned and managed an independent food testing laboratory, providing analysis and consulting services to all segments of the food and beverage industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, with graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in public health administration.
RALPH NELLER, Director SafeKey Programs
Ralph Neller directs all of JohnsonDiversey's food safety programs in North, South and Central America that are marketed under JohnsonDiversey's SafeKeytm brand. With an extensive background in the foodservice industry and over 32 years of experience in both domestic and international markets, he has managed and directed activities including risk assessment and mitigation, and crisis management. As the former president of Water Solutions, an industrial water management company and subsidiary of W.R. Grace, Mr. Neller also has a strong background in water, environmental and food safety programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Thomas More College and a master's degree from Xavier University.
LARRY HOOD, Ph.D., Senior Consultant and Subject Area Expert
As a senior consultant with JDC, Larry Hood has over 25 years of diversified industry experience as a technical research team leader, technical marketing and sales manager, and food safety consultant. With a bachelor's degree in food science, a master's degree in food microbiology and a doctorate in food chemistry from Michigan State University, Dr. Hood has worked for a variety of Fortune 500 firms including Johnson & Johnson, Hoechst Celanese, Quaker Oats and Continental Baking Co. In his role with JohnsonDiversey Consulting, Dr. Hood consults with clients in the food, dietary supplement and nutraceutical industries on a variety of regulatory and technical subjects. His food safety consulting practice includes crisis management, risk assessment studies, HACCP system design and implementation, and the development of vendor assurance programs and other elements of food safety system management. Dr. Hood is also an experienced instructor, with close ties to the Food Innovation Center at Rutgers University.
CHARLES SEAMAN, Senior Consultant and Subject Area Expert
Chuck Seaman has over 25 years in the industry with a broad range of technical and business experience. He began his career as a product development chemist and project manager in the institutional cleaning and hygiene industry. At JohnsonDiversey and its predecessor companies, Mr. Seaman has held positions of increasing responsibility in research and technical management, including senior technology associate, group leader, technical director, senior project leader and senior program manager. His particular expertise is in the areas of food safety management systems, development and delivery of food safety training and auditing programs, and the development and validation of cleaning and antimicrobial products. Mr. Seaman has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, a master's degree in food safety and veterinary medicine from Michigan State, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marquette University.
DALE GRINSTEAD, Ph.D., Senior Microbiologist and Technical Advisor
Dale Grinstead is a food safety microbiologist with over 10 years of experience in antimicrobial research and development of applied food safety programs for retailers and food and beverage processors. As a food safety technology fellow in the JohnsonDiversey Research and Development Group, Dr. Grinstead provides technical input and guidance on JohnsonDiversey's global food safety programs, representing JohnsonDiversey in the area of food safety to technical societies and trade associations, and assisting customers and sales force with food safety issues and concerns. Additional responsibilities include leading innovation projects and new product development in the area of food safety, evaluating potential food safety impacts of new products and technologies, and monitoring new food safety and microbiology issues of interest to the industry. Dr. Grinstead holds bachelors and master's degrees in science from Iowa State University and received his doctorate in food technology from Clemson University.
NATIONAL MEDICAL ADVISORY SERVICES
National Medical Advisory Services (NMAS) is part of a jointly operated enterprise group which also includes Building Health Sciences (BHS) and the International Center for Toxicology and Medicine (ICTM). NMAS and the enterprise group provide diverse biomedical consulting with specialized experience in a variety of national and international crisis issues, hazards and emergencies in areas related to medical needs, public health, toxicology, risk assessment and risk communication. NMAS professionals are physicians, toxicologists, public health experts, nurses, environmental specialists and consultants who have developed algorithms for health and environmental crisis management, conducted training, performed public health/medical oversight and responded to many hazards, health care emergencies and distress over health risks, either perceived or genuine emergencies.
RONALD E. GOTS, M.D., Ph.D.
Ronald E. Gots is chief executive officer of ICTM and chief scientist for BHS. Dr. Gots a major and the chief of gastroenterology at The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research where he supervised research on biological agents which produce food borne illness outbreaks. He has authored many articles on mechanisms of entero-pathogenic diseases that have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, in addition to six books and other articles on biochemistry, toxicology, mold and mold toxins. Other areas of expertise include situation analysis, strategy development and risk communication associated with disease outbreaks or distress due to chemical and biological agents and indoor environmental air quality. He has overseen medical treatment for people exposed to mold during mold remediation, for communities with exposures from waste treatment and for workers with various potential exposures Dr. Gots received both his undergraduate degree in chemistry and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and his doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Southern California.
HUNG CHEUNG, M.D., M.P.H, FACOEM
Hung Cheung is chief medical officer for BHS. Dr. Cheung received his undergraduate degree from Loyola College and his medical degree and first board certification in internal medicine from the University of Maryland. From there, he worked in the emergency department setting before returning to receive his Masters in Public Health degree in environmental health science from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene & Public Health and his second board certification in occupational medicine from Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to joining BHS and ICTM, Dr. Cheung served as the State Medical Director for the state of Maryland from 1999-2003. In this role, he worked with management, employees, unions and other stakeholders on indoor environmental air quality and public health issues related to disease transmission, infectious agents, molds, microbial, chemical and other contaminant exposures in commercial buildings, manufacturing plants, schools, hotels and various other public and residential facilities. He has also served as a scientific expert in many townhall meetings, administrative and legal proceedings, often testifying before various Legislative bodies. Dr. Cheung is a fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and, in 2006, was appointed by the College to develop the ACOEM practice guidelines for respiratory diseases.
DAVID LUKCSO, M.D., M.P.H.
David Lukcso is Vice President of Medical Advisory Services for NMAS and ICTM. Prior to joining NMAS, Dr. Lukcso has worked as both a clinical instructor and attending physician in emergency medicine at The New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center, and as a Mid-Atlantic Regional Medical Director for an occupational and environmental health provider where he helped clients resolve medical claims ranging from personal injury to environmental disease. Specific areas of expertise include the development of medical protocols used in the evaluation and treatment of over 800 workers exposed to anthrax at postal facilities and the Senate Hart Building in 2001. He has also worked with the state of Maryland medical director of bioterrorism in developing smallpox vaccination protocols and strategies. In both cases, he provided medical care to affected persons. Dr. Lukcso serves on The State of Maryland's Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Protection Program's Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council Private Sector Workgroup, and is a member of The Infrastructure Security Partnership. Dr. Lukcso received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook after being elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center in New York City and received his Masters in Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
